Gael Roots Community Farm nurtures the interconnection of people to their natural environment through traditional agricultural practices, intergenerational knowledge sharing, reciprocal relationships with the land, and the encouragement of a dynamic creative culture.

The organization was founded in 2022 to protect an old 150- acre farm that was facing pressures from development interests. A group of concerned neighbors and community members rallied to create a working farm that fosters agricultural education and food security initiatives in our community. Our goals focus on supporting an ongoing agricultural economy, making quality food accessible to all, and building connections to food and land.

We are located between Livingston Manor and Youngsville NY on a beautiful south facing ridge. Gael Roots offers educational opportunities centered around land stewardship practices and farm sustainability through hands-on programming for community members of all ages—including workshops, internships and mentorship programs. During the growing season we run a  “pay what you can” vegetable farm stand.
