Farming With Trees Workshop (For Farmers)

  • Gael Roots Community Farm 734 Cattail Road Livingston Manor, NY, 12758 United States (map)

May 3rd, we’ll be hosting a Tree Planting Workshop for Farmers from 9 am-4 pm. This is a collaboration with Wellspring Forest Farm and Breadtree Farms. Gael Roots Farm is one of 18 farms that have been involved in this project and we are looking forward to hosting farmers for a day of community and tree planting. All farmers will leave with trees for their farm, including Black Locust, Elderberry, Paw Paw, Persimmon, Willow, Chestnut, Native Oaks, Sycamore, River Locust and more.

We’re excited to gather and be on elf the locations where over 5,000 trees will be shared through the Farming with Trees Project with the 18 farms who’ve been involved thus far. If interested, the report from the listening sessions is linked above, as well as a recent podcast interview Steve Gabriel did overviewing the project.

Other farms not in the original cohort are welcome to join! We will make sure the farms who’ve been engaged deeper receive the trees they need first, but anticipate plenty of abundance to share with others as well.
